Password Reset

Recently I got a message from Xfinity saying I needed to change my password. I did NOT want to do this but was locked out of my account until I did. As an internet provider I believe they have no right to demand I change it. I am responsible for my own web security. There were no security issues with my account. I found this annoying and intrusive.

Yep, same thing here. I called to make sure it wasn’t a hack and actually got a person. I was told that XFINITY is making everyone change their password, kinda like banks make you do every 90 days. Now if only xfinity could stop letting all the spam through and keep the internet and video working for 7 days straight that would be a good thing.

Now it seems that I’m automatically signed out of the Home app and have to sign back in. Is there a solution for all this confusion?

Working in the corporate world it was normal to have to change your password for THEIR security since you have access to internal systems. I see no such reason for Xfinity to demand I change my password to protect nothing of theirs, only my own account. I'm still angry about this.
