Outlook email

I use Outlook for email.  My comcast.net email has stopped populating my Outlook mailbox.  When I try to repair the connection in Outlook I get the following message, "We couldn't log on to the incoming (IMAP) server.  Please check your email address and password and try again. "  I have checked both multiple times to no avail.  What am I missing.
