Outgoing emails stalled in Outbox - How to resolve?
I use the same Comcast email account on several Apple devices: iMac with Outlook, iPad with Mail, and iPhones with Mail. Outbound emails stopped on all devices this morning and are stalled in the Outboxes. In-bound emails are being received. Additionally I am able to send emails from my account on the Comcast Xfinity website, but not thru the device mail applications.
I contacted Comcast and they could not help, but rather referred me to Apple. Apple said the problem is with the Comcast server not accepting uploaded messages. Does anyone have any idea on how to resolve?

As mentioned in another thread that you replied in - the issue is with your Third-Party email clients. In this case Apple Mail or iMail. The settings are no longer functional on the outbound side. The issue is not with Comcast, but with the software. Unfortunately, Apple will refer you back to Comcast every time and Comcast will refer you to Apple since they made the software. The key thing is to outline that the software is not working, not your email. As long as your email works in webmail for inbound and outbound - your email is working. its Apple Mail/iMail that is having the issue. Check the settings and more specifically usually the password for inbound/outbound depending on your issue. Worst case, remove/disable the account in the software and re-create your email as a new account in it.

Thanks. I deleted and successfully reinstalled the Comcast accounts on each third party email application. Unfortunately the same problem persists.

I have similar problem - On Windows 10 Outlook emails stay in Outbox. I get messages to enter user and name and password, which do not work.

smtp.comcast.net is not accepting my uploaded email messages. Is there another server that I can use?
