Good afternoon,

Majority of failed outbound emails are due to incorrect password/failed authentication. Please re-enter your password on your email clients for outbound server settings and try again. To note, all the failed authentication is coming from an Apple device.

I had been having outgoing email issues using Outlook 365 on my Dell computer as well as on my iphone 11 but still seemed to be receiving my emails in Outlook fine.  Today while trying to troubleshoot I needed to log into my Xfinity account and had to update my password.  Went back to update my password in my Outlook accounts and get an error message saying an encrypted connection to the mail server for this account is not available,  click NEXT to use an unencrypted connection.

So now it seems that Outlook 365 can't complete the "repair" action to update my password on my email account due to the above error and now I am no longer receiving nor able to send emails from my comcast.net accounts out of my Outlook program.

Any help would be most appreciated.  I tried calling in but the represnetative I worked with could only say there were some known issues and please use the WEbmail (Xfinity Connect) in the meantime. But this is not a ver convenient solution for my needs.

I am also experiencing errors with outgoing email.  this is not an issue with my ID or PW but is an issue with connecting to the SMTP server.

Please post your settings and what email client you're using.
