Old Email Address

Question

Some is using an old Comcast email address I quit using in 2004 when I moved and had to switch providers. I returned to Comcast in 2016, and my old Email address was no longer available. Now, someone is spamming my old email, so I am getting constant messages that the other spam messages are undeliverable. How can I stop and dissociate from the old email account?
