notification that a sent email has been read

Is there any way to see if an email I sent has been read by the recipient?  Don't see this option in settings.

In Comcast's webmail you can try using a feature called "Read receipts". To request a Read receipt in Appsuite, click Options in the Compose window, then "Request read receipt".

Many third party email programs and apps also support Read receipts, but . . .

Read receipts only work if both the sending and the receiving email software support them (many webmail systems don't), and typically only if the recipient grants permission to send them (many users, like me, never do). Given the limitations, consider including some version of "Please reply so I know you got this" with the message you send.

My problem is that my emails are being sent out with return receipt requested whether I want that or not.  This just started happening after a recent Comcast revision of the user interface.  If I select Options and make sure Request Return Receipt is unchecked, my emails still go out with a return receipt request.

Hello all. Thanks for reaching out to us on the forums. I apologize to hear there are issues with the Read Receipts being sent out when you're not wanting them to. I would like to have a look into is the issues have not been resolved. Please send me a PM with your first and last names so I may further assist you.

I am trying to set up my parents email that I can see when they have read my emails to them.  they are both hearing impaired and its easier to send emails than try to phone them.  I used to get a read receipt from them but it stopped working.  They did not change anything.   it must have been an update issue.   any help would be apprecaited.

About the unwanted read receipts, FWIW, the following post describes a similar issue:

Random read receipt requests when sending email via Comcast webmail 02-13-2020

Issue: Editing a draft email (even if it is only in order to send it) triggers the addition of a read receipt request.

Workaround: If you have edited a draft email (from your "Drafts" folder), don't send the email from that window. Instead, create a new compose window, copy the addresses, subject, and text of the email from the draft window to the new compose window and send it from there.
