Not receiving email on iPhone
I changed my password yesterday. Now I receive a message on my iPhone "The mail server "imap.comcast.net" is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account information in Mail Settings." I've reset my comcast password on my phone. I'm receiving emails when I login to my Comcast account on laptop. What do I need to do to fix the issue on my phone?

In iOS, you need to set the password in two places------for the incoming server, and then again for the outgoing SMTP server. Did you do that? If not, to change it for the SMTP server;
go to "Settings" on the home screen, then scroll down to" Mail, Contacts, Calendars", click on the account, and then on the next screen tap the "account" again. Scroll down to "SMTP" and tap that. Then tap "smtp.comcast.net". On the next screen, you will see the password. Change it and then tap "Done" in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

Getting Comcast emails on my iPhone. After the change (deleted Comcast mail
Account from iPhone, added it back, checked all the settings including new password, email working fine on xfinity app) there remains an error with the incoming mail server.
Account has been “verified” on the phone, sSL on for both income of and outgoing servers, etc.
Any suggestions?

“ I was told to change my xfinity password yesterday for security reasons.”
So again, before the password change, no problem getting Comcast emails on iPhone.
I’ve repeatedly deleted and added the account back to the iPhone under settings/mail, checked all inputs (passwords on incoming and outgoing mail servers are correct, SSLs both on, user name is correct, etc). When I press “Done” I get all blue check marks showing the account is verified, but when I go to the mail icon for Comcast and try to load emails it says ‘Comcast is not available’.

Try logging into your Xfinity email account via your web browser then:
1 - Settings on the top right
2 - Security
3 - Make sure the box "Third Party Access Security" is checked.

Wow, can't believe I spent almost an hour trying to figure this out and found the answer here. Thank you! Shame on Xfinity for not having this be part of the "official instructions" that they sent out after retiring the Connect app.

sign into your comcast account via their website and
go to settings
go to security
Make sure the "third party access security" box is checked
