Got a new phone. Trying to get my Xfinity email set up need imap password
If you are using Comcast's servers (connect.xfinity.com, mail.comcast.net, imap.comcast.net, and smtp.comcast.net), the email (IMAP) password is the same as the password you use to log in to a Comcast/Xfinity web page or app. There is no separate "IMAP password". If you need to reset your password, see https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/changing-or-resetting-your-password. If you change it you'll also have to update it on any devices, apps, and programs (email, Xfinity app. etc.) that use it.
If you are accessing a Comcast.net email account that has been migrated to Yahoo, you would be using their servers (pop.mail.yahoo.com or imap.mail.yahoo.com, and smtp.mail.yahoo.com), and the email (IMAP) password is the same as the password you use to log in to Yahoo.com. Again, there is no separate "IMAP password". If you need to reset that one, see https://help.yahoo.com/kb/new-yahoo-mail/reset-yahoo-password-sln27051.html.
