Need access to my xfinity email

Hello trying to access my email. I am trying to reset a password and of course it's the perfect storm of not being able to access my Comcast email so I can reset the password.

Please help, really important.

Hey there, @user_he5jlz. If you're unable to access you Xfinity ID and get its password reset we would need to refer you to our Customer Security Assurance team. If you're attempted the password reset link and are unable to send yourself a reset code to the registered mobile number or email address that team will be best equipped to assist you gaining access to your Xfinity ID. If the account has gone inactive for over 90 days since the start of this year, you won't have access to recovering the email service. You can export you inbox using this tool.

Thanks for your assistance. I was able to access my account not associated with Comcast via another method. This hands off customer approach is a horrible way to do business.

The AI and automated script to answer pressing questions was an infuriating way to get answers quickly and efficiently. The constant round Robbin to bring you back to the start or to be sent to a page that when you click on the email access link just brings you back to the same page, well that's no help at all.

Of course the 800 number that wants to push you back to a text conversation on your phone was just as useless.

In effect I can put the blame on myself as I was the one who decided to use Comcast email as a fall back method to retrieve a password.

When you use other applications and it asks you, if you get locked out of your account what email address would you like to use in case of an emergency? You sometimes forget that you may have used an email address that will no longer be of use to you.

Technology has in essence become as seamless as breathing, but when something as simple as using email to retrieve a reset password link has been removed or no longer in service the user is at the mercy of reaching into the abyss and seeing nothing.

Comcast, you may need to archive all those email accounts in case things like this happen to other former customers, it won't be the last time someone else runs into this problem.

I am sure there is a way to activate an archived email account for a short 2 day window so that a user may gain access to something important.
