My email used by someone else
My email address is being used by someone else. I get pornography, political stuff, etc. I have been unable to get any help from Xfinity. The one time I actually managed to speak with someone in technical support there was a loud beep and he was gone

You might want to call Comcast's CSA (Customer Security Assurance). They may be able to help you with some troubleshooting. Their phone number is (888) 565-4329.

No help Even though through investigation and clues in the emails I know who the person is and where he lives Xfinity said they can do nothing. Suggest I create a ne account to replace the email I've had for 25 years.!

Can you clarify--------do you mean you are just getting spam in your Inbox folder? Or is this person using your actual email account? Are there emails appearing in your Sent folder you know you didn't send? Because the only way anyone could actually use the account is if they somehow got hold of your password. If the latter is the case, change the password and see if that stops the problem.

I have a similar but slightly different situation. I've had the same Comcast e-mail address for almost 20 years. Occasionally over the years, and increasingly in the past few months, I have received what seem to be legitimate e-mails to my e-mail username but someone else's name (which matches my username in such a way as to be legit). I've gotten their New York Times subscription, order confirmations, and I think there was even some personal correspondence years ago. Now today I received a reminder to return for the follow-up vaccine shot for COVID-19. This is obviously a big deal and would like to figure out what's going on.
For a long time I thought someone was just confused and believed they were giving out their username but actually using mine. But now I'm wondering if it is something more problematic.
Any ideas?
