My comcast email failing to open

When I try to open my email in the OX app, it often doesn’t open, or after a minute it will say connection not secure. How can I fix this.

Hi, @user_fzueco! Sorry to hear you're running into issues opening your email in the OX App! The "connection not secure" error and slow load times usually point to a temporary SSL handshake issue, outdated app cached data, or network security settings. Here are the best troubleshooting steps to get this fixed:

Clear App Cache & Data (Mobile/App Users)

- If you are using the app on a phone or tablet, go to your device's Settings > Apps > OX App (or Xfinity Connect), select Storage, and tap Clear Cache.

- Restart the app and check if it connects securely.

Verify Security & Port Settings (If using a third-party email client like Outlook or Mail)

If you configured Comcast email within a third-party app, ensure your incoming server settings use SSL:

- Incoming Server (IMAP): imap.comcast.net | Port: 993 | SSL/TLS: Required

- Outgoing Server (SMTP): smtp.comcast.net | Port: 465 or 587 | SSL/TLS: Required

Check Network / VPN Connections

If you are using a VPN or private Wi-Fi network with strict firewall settings, try temporarily disabling the VPN or switching to mobile data/a different Wi-Fi network to test if the connection error resolves.

Re-authenticate Your Account

Try signing out of the app completely and logging back in. If the issue persists, reinstalling the app ensures you are on the latest, most secure version.

Test via Web Browser

As a temporary workaround, check if you can log in directly at Xfinity Email. If webmail works without security errors, the issue is isolated strictly to the app configuration.

Let us know if any of these steps help or if you are still receiving the error!
