Hello @shelbyjean107, I understand how frustrating it can be when your email server is not working properly. Did you try to log out and back into your email account?

With all of the updates to your mail app recently, have you attempted to reach out to Apple Care for assistance by chance? That would ensure we're burning the candle from both ends to find a solution. At this point, we've attempted all of our basic troubleshooting steps and would need you to DM us your first and last name along with your service address in order to get a ticket submitted and some advanced support teams to investigate.

I'll provide the instructions we use for all of our customers to have them reach out to us.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it

I think I just sent the message. It shows up in the conversation window. Can you see it?

My comcast.net account on my iphone would receive but not send emails. The account on my laptop is fine.  I deleted the account from my iphone and am trying to create a new account, but keep getting an error message that says "the user name or password for "mailcomcst.net" is incorrect. Have tried both old and new passwords and continue to get the same error. Please advise.

Is "mailcomcst.net" a typo?  If it's that way on your phone you need to correct that.  It should be imap.comcast.net

@user_vl964m One of our community experts provided a suggestion to update the domain within the app. Let us know if that was the fix to your issue or if you still need assistance!

I recently upgraded my iPhone, and now I can't get emails on my "Mail" app as other users report. In addition, I keep getting the following error message: "The POP server "imap.comcast.net" is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the "Incoming Mail Server" field." I've checked and double checked, set and reset the mail settings, and I still can't get Comcast mail on my iPhone.

Are you trying to use pop3 or imap?  If pop3 you should have the incoming mail server set at pop3.comcast.net, port 995, requires SSL Yes.

Hi there. Thank you for asking. I've tried both pop3 and imap. Neither has worked.

This is rediculous.  How long does it take to fix this problem by switching the comcast email over to an att.net email.  This has been ongoing for over a year.  I'm ready to leave Comcast (or am I actually leaving Xfinity?) given this absurd situation.

Can you explain what you mean by switching the "comcast email over to an att.net email"?

My comcast.net email is dead.

What do you mean by "dead"?  You can't access it through webmail?  Have you transitioned to Yahoo! Mail?  Are you using a third party email app?  Error messages?
