Missing emails

No backup at my end. I've never lost email before. OneDrive doesn't seem to be able to back up files automatically, only on demand. I do occasionally archive old messages to reduce the size of the inbox. I did not expect Xfinity to have short term backup. But I thought it was worth asking.

I use Microsoft Outlook on the PC and the Mailboxes app on my iPhone. I rarely sign on to Xfinity to access email due to the length of time it takes to successfully sign on.

As an aside, I thought it strange that the AI bot recommended rebooting my modem. How could I be chatting with the bot if my modem was not working? 

Hi there, can you try the following steps:

1) Sign in to Xfinity Email using your Xfinity ID and password.
2) Right-click on the Trash folder or click on the More Actions icon (three lines) next to the trash folder.
3) Select Recover Deleted Items.
4) Select the messages you want to restore and then click Move Selected Items.
5) Select the appropriate destination folder and click OK or Move.

Notes: You will have 30 days to recover deleted emails before they become permanently unavailable.
You can select multiple messages by clicking the first email in your list, holding Shift, and then clicking the last email in your list.

Thanks Sheila. That's good to know in case I mistakenly delete an email in the future. However, I checked my Trash folder, and it only contained messages that I would have intentionally deleted. Checking my Inbox, there are absolutely no messages received from 11/22 through 12/7. All other dates have at least one message. Very odd. In general, I usually receive a dozen email messages daily and delete 90 percent of them.

That does seem odd,  are there any specific emails that you know that were sent to you that are not showing in your inbox?

One from my wife for sure. And I regularly get emails from my bank notifying me of activity on my accounts. There is a dozen in my inbox from 11/1 to 11/22. Then none from 11/23 through 12/10. Three between 12/11 and 12/14.
