missing email folders

Many of my email folders are missing. It appears that their contents have all been moved to the remiaining folders, like Inbox and Sent Items. This has been the case for over a week. I went on to the Forum and found that many people have had the same problem, but the solution for this is still not clear. Please help me restore my folders if possible, as it will be very time consuming to try to do this manually. Thanks.

Thank you for posting your concerns regarding your email folders. I know this can be inconvenient when all of your email seem scattered.

Do you have any mail filter rules? You will see these rules in the settings section on the left?

@RobZ do you access your email on more than one device and if so, are the folders missing on those devices as well?

I access emails on both my pc and phone; and yes, the folders are missing on both.

I was wrong.  I just checked my phone again, and the missing folders have re-appeared on my phone.  They are still gone on my pc.

@RobZ What browser are you using to check the email? Can you try an incognito/private browser page to see if that would work for you?

I'm using Edge.  I tried opening in Edge InPrivate, Bing InPrivate, and Chrome Incognito, and still got the same thing, folders still missing.

I don't know how or why, but my folders all re-appeared and everything is now fine.  It looks like some others on this forum have had the same thing happen.

I'm having the same issues.  When I shrink the folders icon is shows that I have 24 folders, but when I open it up only 12 appear.  The same 12 show up on my phone when I access my email. I will try the other browsers to see it that does any thing.

Hello @fishheadrich , and thank you for letting us know the steps you have attempted so far with different browsers. Did you also check your 'Filter Rules' as shown above to see if any filtering was preventing certain folders from being seen?
