Migration to yahoo

I am anxious to do the migration but haven’t been invited to yet. Do I have to wait to be invited?  I am constantly running into space problems with Xfinity and want to get somewhere with more storage space available so I don’t have to go around deleting emails that I don’t want to.

Yes,  you have to wait to be invited for the migration.  You'll just need to delete as much as you can.  Your quota is spaced out across all your folders, so if you have lots of folders with emails that are old and unnecessary, you might want to start deleting more.
