Is anyone in gonna give a straight answer? From xfinity, why we can't access our own accounts that we set up with you years and years ago. Now you want us to use Yahoo. Kick us out they give you commercials. Every [Edited: "Profanity"] 30 seconds. Okay, we didn't ask for that. And when you ask for no ads, they want to charge you extreme amount of money, do the service that you said you could provide, and not put it off on somebody as a money grab! Please explain!

Hello user_70c451, thank you for reaching out on our Xfinity Community forum, we appreciate you and your time. In answer to your question, Comcast transitioned to Yahoo Mail to provide customers with an enhanced email experience at no extra cost. The partnership aims to offer improved features such as enhanced security, a smart calendar, AI-driven inbox organization, and a top-rated mobile app. This upgrade allows customers to retain their @comcast.net email addresses while benefiting from Yahoo Mail's advanced functionalities. The transition is part of a broader initiative to improve customer communications and support for email services, as Xfinity will no longer provide support for migrated accounts after the transition.
Also, you can decline to use Yahoo Mail. You have the option to do nothing and continue accessing your comcast.net email through the Xfinity Mail platform. You do not have to upgrade to Yahoo Mail if you choose not to. However, if you do decide to upgrade, you must accept Yahoo's terms of service.
