mail server is (temporarily) down

I'm having this issue today too.

Message:

"Unable to connect to mail server. Possible reasons: The mail server is (temporarily) down or there are network connection problems. Please try again in a few minutes."

What's the fix?

user_wn8fz4 Have you tried using another web browser as well as clear cache/cookies?

I have been having the same issue when connecting to email (via email apps / Outlook) when connected on my (non-exfinity) wifi.  I can get emails to load when on cellular connections, but my home wifi will not allow me to load emails.  I have fiber internet (Xfinity NOT available in my area), and have restarted my router (I do not have a modem).  This has been happening for the past several days.  VERY FRUSTRATING.  Is my IP blocked?  Who do I contact to get support?  Xfinity Assistant Chat is NOT able to help.
