Lost emails comcast.net account

I have lost many months of emails that I have saved either in folders or in my inbox.  2017 and most of 2018.  Just gone.  Trips saved. HOA info, etc. etc.  any suggestions what happened or anyway or retrieving?  I have had comcast.net service for many many years using this same comcast.net email.  Thanks.
