Issue sending AOL email when connected to Xfinity wifi

I'm having an issue where sending AOL email via MS Outlook while connected to my home Xfinity wifi isn't working.   If I switch the connection over to my Verizon hotspot, the email sends without issue.  Inbound AOL email via Outlook is fine.

When you try to send using Outlook, are you getting any error message?  If you send directly from the AOL webmail portal just using your browser, does that work OK?

@Latoque​ the portal works fine;  outlook tells me it can’t connect to the smtp server.

Hello @jwilcox1010. I am sad to hear you are having issues with sending out AOL emails through Outlook. It has been a couple of days since you reached out. Are you still having issues, or where you able to get this resolved?

Hello. I am sorry to read you are having trouble sending an email. I am also curious to know about any error messages, and if sending from the portal works when connected to Xfinity?

@XfinityBrandon​ the aol portal works, outlook just gives me an error that it cant connect to the smtp server

I am having issues sending emails when using xfinity wifi.  I do not have a comcast or xfinity email that i am using and when i switch to verizon hotspot the emails send fine.  Any help?
