Is SMPT outgoing server down or having issues?
The outgoing email for my comcast account, using smtp.comcast.net on my iPhone stopped working today. I have no problem receiving emails but outgoing emails just sit in the "outgoing" folder. When I tried reentering my password in the apple mail setting it just displays "verifying" endlessly now as if the server is not responding. Is the comcast server down?

Update: Also just received a message from iPhone Mail app that connection with the server (smtp.comcast.net) failed.

i am encountering delayed smtp mail delivery since this morning (August 31, 2026 PT). As of right now, 345p, the comcast smtp server is not responding.
