iPhone embedded email with comcast
This has gone on what seems like forever. What is the problem?
For a long time, I had my comcast email setup with the embedded mail app on iPhone 16pro. Even before with a 14. Everything was working fine. The it insistently wants the password. I have entered it a several dozen times and the server doesn’t recognize the name and password. I reinserted the known password into the email profile, checked the port numbers, checked other settings against the Xfinity protocol and it still doesn’t work. Deleted the account from my phone and reinstalled. It worked sporadically, and sometimes it would bring in emails in the middle of the night and then first thing in the morning, “NEED PASSWORD”

Hello, @porschedude, and sorry for the inconvenience with your Apple mail app. I know you've said you've checked settings before, but I want to make sure every possible solution is checked off. Can you verify you've gone through these settings? For POP, use port 995 with SSL, and for outgoing mail, use ports 465 or 587 with TLS or SSL. As for the email password on the iOS Mail app for Apple devices. Whenever there has been a password change, the password on all mail clients must be updated, and completed for both incoming and outgoing mail servers.
