Incorrect/outdated name on account

The name of the main account holder needs to be removed and replace with my name. The name currently on the account has no connection to the service. When I changed over the service Xfinity agents ensured me the name was corrected.

Was the account transferred over to your name?  Did you send in the form for transfer or did you and the other person go to a store to have it transferred over?  Or did you just call and ask for the name to be changed to yours?
