Import Address Book

How can I import an address book from Thunderbird to Xfinity? I am not seeing an import function anywhere in settings.

Hello and welcome! We know how important it is to transfer your contacts seamlessly and here is a step-by-step guide:

  1. Access the account in Xfinity Email.
  2. Select the Address Book tab and click Import contacts.
  3. CSV and VCard files are only accepted when selecting the File option.
    • Importing directly from another email platform is allowed when selecting the available email platform.
  4. Click Import to complete. If there are many contacts, this may take a few minutes.

(Make sure you have exported the Thunderbird address book prior to this;

Export from Thunderbird:
  • Open Thunderbird and navigate to your Address Book.
  • Select the address book you want to export.
  • Go to "Tools" > "Export".
  • Choose a file format like CSV.
  • Save the exported file to your computer. )

I also want to import my contacts from another program. In my case its from Outlook. I have created a CSV file but like the other person said there is no import command in Xfinity email address book tab. The link you gave them does not load for me either. You also told them to do this.....
You first need a CSV or VCard file. Once you have that, you can go to our website and select Address Book > Collected Addresses > Import. That should allow you to select the CSV or VCard file. Let us know if this helps!

Where is 'address book' on your   website to get to import addresses???? I really really need to get my contacts into Xfinity email. thanks

UPDATE....I found out how to import the CSV file and it worked but now the contacts  I imported are gone in Comcast webmail. I can't for the life of me remember who helped me complete the action. All I know for sure is that that person told me to click on 'options' and thats where I found the 'import' function but now I can't find the 'options'   box...help!

With the ongoing transition to Yahoo! Mail are you sure you want to import email addresses?  I haven't really used Yahoo! Mail, although I have a couple of email addresses there, but I would think that they would have an import function.  I guess I should go poke around.....

[Edit] Yes, Yahoo! Mail has an import function, but I don't see one for Comcast, however, that doesn't mean that you won't be able to import email addresses.  At the moment, there is Yahoo, Gmail, Outlook, and AOL.

I also see where storage will be 20 GB for the basic mail.

Here is information regarding the transition to Yahoo! Mail:
