Good morning user_cv7ytd

That would be your standard Xfinity user ID password. That is the password used to access our website, or any of our suite of apps.

user_rrnmi1 I would test your username and password to make sure your credentials are working. Are you able to sign into our website? After trying this you will know if you need to reset your password or if the issue is settings in your email client.

I just called Xfinity with the same question. They send me thru the chain nobody said that they could help. This is ridiculous evertime I check my email starts asking for password and then IMAP password .

user_v8zifw Thank you for reaching out to us via the Xfinity Community Forums. I completely understand how frustrating it is to have to repeatedly re-enter your password just to watch a show, and I want to help you move past that login loop.

A key step that often resolves this issue is a full refresh of your browser's stored data. Please try the following:

  1. Log Out of your email and the streaming site completely.

  2. Clear your browser's cache and cookies (select "All Time" if possible).

  3. Close and re-open your browser.

  4. Log back in to your Xfinity account.

This process helps clear out any conflicting or corrupted login information that is preventing your computer from securely remembering your sign-in status. Let me know if that helps!
