I keep getting asked for the IMMA password on my iPhone. ...

If you are using Comcast's servers (connect.xfinity.com, mail.comcast.net, imap.comcast.net, and smtp.comcast.net), the email (IMAP) password is the same as the password you use to log in to a Comcast/Xfinity web page or app. There is no separate email password.

If you need to reset that password, see https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/changing-or-resetting-your-password. If you change it you'll also have to update it on any devices, apps, and programs (email, Xfinity app. etc.) that use it.

If you are accessing a Comcast.net email account that has been migrated to Yahoo, you would be using their servers (mail.yahoo.com, pop.mail.yahoo.com or imap.mail.yahoo.com, and smtp.mail.yahoo.com), and the email password is the same as the password you use to log in to Yahoo.com. Again, there is no separate email password, unless Yahoo asked you to create a app password.

If you need to reset the Yahoo password, see https://help.yahoo.com/kb/new-yahoo-mail/reset-yahoo-password-sln27051.html

trt3190, thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support.

Try signing in directly at:

https://connect.xfinity.com

If you can sign in there, your password is correct.

If you cannot sign in:

  1. Go to https://idm.xfinity.com
  2. Select Forgot Password
  3. Reset your password.
  4. Wait a few minutes and then update the password on your iPhone.
