The email password (for POP, IMAP, and SMTP) is the same as the password you use to log in to a Comcast/Xfinity web page or app. To reset it, see https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/changing-or-resetting-your-password. If you change it online you'll also have to update it on any devices, apps, and programs (email, Xfinity app. etc.) that use it.

Hello user_29xv65 thank you so much for contributing to the conversation here on our Xfinity Forums! Is this still an issue for you? To provide our customers with additional security, we added a new checkbox to the Xfinity Email website. This may affect your ability to manage your Xfinity Email (Comcast.net) through third-party programs like Outlook, Google, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, and more. It's important to sign into your Xfinity email and ensure this third-party access is enabled.
The current IMAP settings you need when connecting are:
Incoming Mail Server Name: imap.comcast.net Incoming Mail Server Port Number: 993 with SSL ON If the Mail Client lets you select an authentication method, choose STARTTLS. If Needed: 143 with SSL ON Outgoing Mail Server Name: smtp.comcast.net Outgoing Mail Server Port Number: 587 (SMTP) If Needed: 465 (SMTPS) Encryption: TLS (use SSL if TLS isn't shown.) Authentication: Type in your Comcast.net email address

Your imap password is the password you normally sign in with.
Are you able to sign in to webmail with that password?
