imap authentication error

I added a user account (another comcast.net email) to Xfinity Email.  This has worked before.  Now I get an error.  "the provided log in date to access email server   imap.comcast.net   seem to be wrong"  i have checked and changed passwords, reentered the email address.  There seems to be a problem with my IMAP access.  I was never able to get my phone to work and  now I can't get access from my laptop when logged in as primary.

Hello user_6740a8, thanks for creating a post with this concern. Are you still having issues accessing your new username?

@XfinityAmir     yes i still have the issue.   Here are some more details as my original post may be unclear

User Email was created several years ago.   About 3 years ago i tried to access this email from my Iphone.  Neither Comcast nor Apple could get it to work.   I gave up.

Recently I tried to access this USER email account from my Primary email.  (My wife's USER email works and can be accessed from the Primary account).   I can see the USER Email, but there are no emails

I get this error when I open the Primary email:

ERROR

The provided login data to access mail server imap.comcast.net seem to be wrong. Please correct them.

I have changed my password several times and it still doesn't work

(my wife's USER email is there and I can see all of here emails.  also there is not error indication on hers, only mine)

Gotcha. Do you typically access your email by going directly to https://my.xfinity.com/?cid=cust?

{edit: hyperlink correction}

I no longer work for Comcast

Yes, I then log into my primary account.  My primary email opens and I can scroll down and see all the folders.  I can open my wife's User email and see her folders.  When I look at my User email, it has an "error triangle" on the right  that has this error:

"Error

The provided login data to access mail server imap.comcast.net seem to be wrong. Please correct them."

Also, the folder is empty...

thanks

Thanks for sharing. I will make sure we get you logged in @user_6740a8.

Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address?

Our team can most definitely take a further look at this issue.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://comca.st/3EqVMu7

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it

See https://comca.st/3KQF8q9r for an example.

I no longer work for Comcast.

Good afternoon,

From what you've described it seems you have your other email accounts added as additional mailboxes with IMAP. Since the issue is when accessing emails via our website, please go into settings and review the Accounts section within. The first entry would be the account you are signed into followed by additional accounts. If one of the additional accounts had changed their passwords, you must also do so within these settings. Once the username and password information are correct - it will resolve any/all error(s). I have added the following as reference:
