I'm not able to setup or access Xfinity email

Good evening,

I've been an Xfinity customer for about 3 weeks now and I'm still not able to use the Xfinity email at all. I get stuck on the email login page. When I click sign in, it just opens another tab with that same login page, as you'll see in the 2 images below. What am I doing wrong here?

Huh! I just tried clicking the email link and got the same thing you did. When I first tried to set up my Xfinity email in August, I got taken to a support page that said that accounts created after July of this year can't use email. So who knows?!

So are they phasing out their email? I mean I use Gmail as my primary but it'd be nice to have a backup email with Xfinity, especially if it's part of their internet service I'm paying for.

Comcast adopted a policy back in June that details what they are doing with the email-------------------

Xfinity Email Policy effective June, 2024

You need to use some other email provider like Yahoo, Mail.com, Outlook.com, or some other for your other email needs.  Basically, new customers can't create an email account.  Also, existing customers prior to the policy change can no longer create secondary users with email capability.  Any primary or secondary email addresses in place prior to the change will continue to work though.

Fair enough. I just wish Comcast were a bit clearer on that because the user portal still has the email link on it.
