I want to create an additional email address for myself

Hi ev1, firstly, I'm really ignorant about technology in general so please.. for any responses, please speak in simple terms 🙏🏽

(If I had a grandkid handy, this'd be solved in a snap, right? LOL)

I'd like to create an additional email address that I can use when registering for apps and such so that my primary email inbox doesn't get clogged with the spam that results from my email address being sold for advertising purposes.. is there a way to do this through the Xfinity app? Or how else can it be done?

 I don't have a desktop or laptop anymore, I'd have to go to the library to use theirs..

Thanks for any input!

To create a new email address you have to create a new user ID. You can create a total of 7 userID's for each Comcast account number. The simplest way to do that is by following the instructions on https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/adding-new-user-names-or-email-addresses for setting up a Viewer user account.

Note that you need to log in with the Primary UserID to create a new user/email address.

The UserID you create is not just a login ID, it's also the first half of an @ Comcast.net email address, so after creating the new ID head to https://connect.xfinity.com/ to activate it.

Hi, thanks for your reply but I'm very confused.. sorry.. the link you provided has instructions on how to add another PERSON with another email address and phone that will be used to contact them with an invitation-- I don't HAVE another email OR phone to do that.. ?? I'm just trying to have my own secondary email..?? 
Like I said before, I'm very technologically ignorant..

Comcast seems to enjoy making simple things difficult.  :-(  

If you pick the Viewer option in step 4, the following applies when you get to step 5:

Note: The Viewer option gives the Secondary user limited access to the account and will require you to fill out their user information for them rather than send them an invitation.

So when you pick "Viewer" you don't have to do the "enter an email to create an email" craziness. Hope this helps!
