I seem to have lost at least the last two weeks of email when I switched over from Xfinity to Yahoo on my comcast email account. HELP!

I got tired of the constant messages from Xfinity suggesting that I should switch my comcast email account over to Yahoo, and that it would all be transparent and I wouldn't lose anything. Well, I just did that (on Aug 20, 2026) and now the most recent emails I have are from Aug 6. It seems they lost (??) two weeks of my email! Some of my other folders within that account seem to have lost emails going even farther back. HOW DO I GET THESE BACK? I've got important emails such as doctor appointments, etc... that now appear to be gone. HELP! I wish I had never done this, and instead just switched over to a different email client altogether.

Posting for visibility, as I had roughly the same issue, just a different date cutoff (it's Aug 23, but everything from Aug 20 at about 8:00 onwards is gone). Currently on the phone number you suggested to help resolve.

I've been on the phone twice. The first time they said to wait 24 hours. I waited about 36 hours and no change. Then I called again and after a good bit of time, being put on hold and discussion, they said to wait a few more days! What the hell. Then they suggested I go the the Restore link. I haven't pursued that yet because I'm afraid it may screw things up even more. I wish I had never switched.

@huskaroo  Hi there, and thank you for reaching out. I'm very sorry to hear about this experience, especially since you're missing important emails. I can certainly understand how concerning and frustrating that would be. So that we can take a closer look at your account. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.

I don't see a "Direct Message" icon. This is very confusing to the user, because you have all kinds of other things like Chat windows and Connect to Forums, etc.... but I don't see a Direct Message icon. How about sending me the link to that, or better yet, give me a phone number that will be useful in resolving this. I'm at my wits end!
