I don't have a non-comcast email account so I cannot use 2 factor identification. Please help!

How to gain access to the new yahoo system replacing comcast email.  I started to follow the instructions but was stopped because I cannot do 2 factor ID with an alternate email.  The one that was used to set up my account was the xfinity salesmans account and I cannot use it.  Please help.

Greetings, @user_bxujmr! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues setting up Two-Factor Authentication, but you have definitely come to the right place for assistance.

 

If you can still log in to your Xfinity ID profile to access your Comcast email, you should be able to remove the old email address that was added by the sales rep, and replace it with a third-party email of your choice. If you do not currently have one, you can always set up a free email account with someone like Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.

 

If you are unable to log in to your profile because of the sales rep's email address, please let us know. You can always visit an Xfinity Store in person or reach out to our Customer Security Assurance (CSA) Team and ask them to remove that email address from your profile.
