We can't help you unless you give us more details.
  • How are you trying to access your email? through the website or a third party email app like Outlook,Thunderbird, or Apple/Mac mail? or through a device like your phone, or iPad, etc.
  • Are you getting any error messages, and if so what are they?
  • Have you migrated to Yahoo! Mail? you'll need to login here: https://login.yahoo.com or https://mail.yahoo.com with your comcast.net credentials.
  • (If you're a new Comcast customer, you won't have a comcast.net email address.)

If you think your email account has been suspended you can call Customer Security Assurance to see if they can restore it for you.

Sorry for the lack of details. I have never really used the email account. I only needed to access it today because I needed to verify my email account and suddenly found that I could not access it. I tried getting into by logging into my account through my web browser and the xfinity app. That's where I discovered that if it hasn't been used in a year, it's deactivated. I saw no clear explanation on how to reactivate the account. As I said, I only wanted access because an application stated that it sent an email to that account.

I guess my real question is this. I have no problem with the account staying deactivated as I don't use it. However, the issue arose because I activated my Peacock subscription and it sent a verification email. I have an alternative email account that I have tied to my Xfinity account. How do I get any emails of this nature sent to my other email account? Outside of this one instance today, I really have no need for this account. I have changed my password today and those emails flowed to my alternative account. Why did the verification email not come through it as well as it appears to be working in this manner?

That verification email will go to the email on file, which apparently was the deactivated email account.  Your other email is a back up in case you couldn't get into your account.
