I cannot send email from my outlook but I can receive them. I have checked the setting and I have checked the box allowing third party services on. I have tried changing servers etc.

Hello @user_idavw2, thank you for taking the time to leave a post. Sorry to hear that you are having issues sending emails. Have you recently reset your password?  If you recently changed your password, then you will need to update it in outlook Could you let me know if you have verified that the SMTP server is set to smtp.comcast.net and the port is set to 465, ensuring that authentication is enabled?

@XfinityMarshante No I did not update my password.  This has been happening since Friday.  The emails will send during the night but not currently. The port is 465. This is happening on my laptop and my phone

Thank you for the details @user_idavw2. Have you tried sending an email from the Xfinity site to see if it goes through? You can access your email by going to https://www.xfinity.com/email.  I have also attached an article Set up your Xfinity Email address with an email program

@user_idavw2, can you try re-entering the password in Outlook and your phone, and then try sending an email?

I have had the same issue- a recent development within the past few days. I can receive email on my desktop outlook program, but cannot send.  I get the unending blue circle- which also does not allow me to get out of outlook unless using task manager.

The website (exfinity.com/email) and my mobile device both work fine.

Hey good day user_vrlfy9 👋 Thank you for letting us know that you've been experiencing something similar! If Outlook is not allowing you to send emails from your Comcast email address, it may be due to incorrect settings or the use of blocked port 25. To resolve this, ensure you are using the correct outgoing mail server settings:

- Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.comcast.net
- Port Number: 587 (SMTP) or 465 (SMTPS)
- Encryption: TLS (or SSL if TLS isn't available).

Additionally, you'll want to verify that third-party access is enabled on the Xfinity Email website. Please try these steps and let me know if that helps 👍

@XfinitySeth I have tried all those things you suggested to no avail.  This started on Friday and has continued

@user_idavw2 We are limited in troubleshooting third-party email clients.  You can also try changing the port from 465 to 587. If that doesn't work, then for further assistance, you would need to contact the manufacturer of the email client.

@user_idavw2 Unfortunately, we discontinued our email app back in 2021.  You can access the web portal through the Xfinity app to get to your Xfinity email.

after days of uninstalling, checking POP/SMTP, IMAP, SSL?TLS/3rd Party access- even uninstalling & reinstalling, program repair, looking for online diagnosis and finding vast amounts of frustration,

I found that my computer had different versions of outlook and kept opening the wrong one- even though the email home page indicated I was on the "New Outlook".

I had Outlook 2013, Outlook 2016 and have now reverted to the fully functioning Outlook ver. 1.2025.818.302 (production)
