I cannot connect to imap server from outlook classic or Iphone

I cannot connect to imap server from outlook classic or Iphone.  Been around to circle for two days now with customer service with no help.  I can connect via xfinity website and new Outlook on PC and through mail app on Iphone (although it is very slow).  Cannot connect on Iphone with latest Outlook app installed.  3rd party access is checked.  password is correct.

I am having the same issue since Tuesday -- with Thunderbird on laptop and with Gmail on android phone.

my comcast email stopped working in my outlook (classic) this morning as well.  :(  What the heck is going on??

Amazing that all my emails just magically started working again last night.  Uggh, Comcast what are you doing????!
