How to STOP notifications of rejeting email address. This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

I keep getting emails from mailer-daemon.comcast.net that is rejecting a email address that I typed wrong.  It says its rejecting an address.   How do I stop getting these automatic Delivery Status Notifications.

user_fdiotn Thank you so much for stopping in for help with your email notices of a failed delivery. We are more than happy to help with these alerts you keep getting. Are you getting more than one alert after only trying to send the message once?

Yes, more than one alert  for sending 1 email.    BUT for some reason, starting yesterday, they have stopped.  THANK YOU Xfinity for assisting.

user_fdiotn, I'm certainly glad to hear you've stopped receiving those message, those would definitely get on my nerves too. Did you take any steps on your end, or did they just stop altogether?

I keep getting emails from mailer-daemon.comcast.net that is rejecting a email address that I typed wrong. ...

It is typical for mail servers to respond for certain kinds of sending errors with a 'mailer-daemon' message notifying the sender of the problem several times over a period of several days, typically 3 to 5. After that, there's usually a "tried but now giving up" email. When this happens there's nothing you can do to interrupt the sequence. Comcast/Xfinity could, but they won't. It would cost them a few pennies.
