Thank you for trying to help. I’ve finally figured it out and was able to change avatar/profile pic. I stumbled upon it when I was logging into my gQQgle account for work. It asked me which account I wanted and there was the profile  picture. It was an old qmail acct. Everything we do on the internet never goes away even if deleted, you can bet that someone somewhere captured it.

Are you using Xfinity Connect webmail, or an email program or app? Where exactly are you seeing the avatar? AFAIK Comcast doesn't provide one in email.

I'm looking at mail I sent via Comcast in Apple Mail.  My "Sent" folder shows an old picture of me as the Avatar.  I have long ago added a new picture to my Mac profile, but the older picture shows up.

@BruceW I have the same issue however my “appleID” profile pic is the correct one. The one that shows up when I send a Comcast email is different. I have no idea where to go to change it. Do you have any other advice?

@Hdrockercgirl Are you using an email client such as MacMail to send your @comcast.net email?  Webmail, where you login directly to the website, doesn't use avatars.  If you're using MacMail, the question needs to be asked of Apple.

No. But is it possible that I put a photo in at a Comcast forum? I was have trouble with my cable tv, actually I rearranged my furniture and moved my box to the other side of the room and it stopped working and was seeking advice. But I logged in my xfinity account and there’s no photo. I only see the photo in my business gmail account when I send email from my personal Comcast email account. I don’t know if other people see that photo when I send them email from Comcast.

But there is no photo here. I really have no clue how this happened.

@Hdrockercgirl Here again, Comcast email doesn't use avatars.  If you were using MacMail to send @comcast.net email, you might have set an avatar there.  [I am a PC so I have never seen MacMail.]

Here in the forums, you can set an avatar by clicking on the generic person avatar in the upper right hand corner and clicking on Profile Settings.  However, that avatar shows only here, not on any email you might send from connect.xfinity.com [webmail].

I have changed my Apple avatar.  I did it a few years ago.  Yet the latest email messages I have sent show an old avatar.  It sounds like I should be asking for help on the Apple forums rather than here.  Thanks for your advice.
