How to create secondary account to add a new email address?
I've seen other people asking about this and getting non-answers. At one point in time, Comcast allowed for up to 7 email addresses linked to an account. I wanted to create a new one so that my scanner isn't linked to my primary email address. Whenever I add a new user I am prompted to enter an email address or phone number. I don't have an extra phone number and I've tried entering other email addresses but then I'm not able to create a new email address for the account that I just added.
Am I missing something or is the option no longer available?

When you add a new user you have three options for User Role. The first two (Manager, Member) require additional contact methods (phone number and email) for security but the third (Viewer) does not. Create the new user with this Viewer access level and you won't be prompted for any contact methods.

I believe you are missing the point, as I have the same concern and am unable to figure out the answer.
If I were to want a second email address for my account, how would I go about doing this? Going to USERS and adding a user, does not accomplish the task. To create a user, you need to enter an existing email address or existing mobile number. Additionally, any email address or mobile number you use that are already in the system, can not be used again. The user setup appears to need information from outside of your current account.
As mentioned before - you used to be able to have 7 different email addresses per account, for whatever the reason. Now, that is not a simple task.

I have used the method for creating a New User with Viewer Role where it creates the email account (username@comcast.net) WITHOUT requesting an email or phone number for confirmation. It WAS a simple task and not sure why you cannot. I have verified this on my desktop using a browser and via my mobile phone using a browser.

It states:
Select Manager, Member or Viewer, then click Continue.

I'm new to Xfinity & have been trying to create a second email address for my account, vs setting up another account.
I created a New User with a Viewed Role and created a new Username. I went into my account & this new user appears in the list. I go to Edit and the Username is there but the Xfinity ID is blank. There is no username at comcast.net. I tried sending a couple emails but they failed.
Any suggestions? Is there some step I missed in order to get the username turned into an email address?
