How to create a secondary comcast email for myself, NOT add another user?

I've seen this question posted but none of the responses have actually answered the question of how to.
Simply, I want to create a secondary comcast.net email address for myself without adding another user, without adding another phone number, because there isn't one, and without involving gmail, which I shouldn't have to. (and why wouldn't Comcast want its customers to only, exclusively, use their server?) We're supposed to be able to create seven individual comcast.net email addresses with a simple option to "Create New Email" and where is that option located? This shouldn't be this complicated. Thank you.

So, the actual answer is, Comcast no longer offers the option to create additional email addresses without creating a new "user" account of some type, and the only option for creating a new "user" without entering an outside email address or new phone number is to use the "create a new user" option to create a "viewer" account. Comcast no longer offers the option to create up to seven email accounts WITHOUT also creating seven "user" accounts, whether a customer wants to do that or not, or whether or not there actually any additional people using the account. The answer is that the original option to simply create up to seven email addresses, it no longer exists.

That's the answer.

Many, many, customers have had this same issue. So, I hope that helps someone else out there from wasting time looking for an option that no longer exists.

Their procedure forces you to set up another user, but can do most of what you want by following the instructions on https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/adding-new-user-names-or-email-addresses for setting up a Viewer user account. Although, when you log in with your new ID Comcast will nag you to set up a recovery phone number and email. At that point, you may have an "Ask me later" option to skip this, but the nagging will continue. I know of no way around that.

I appreciate the response. However once again, that does not solve the issue. Here, on page 9 ( nine) of the Xfinity Guide, it says,

"Email
Get up to 7 email accounts for you and your
family members. Plus, enjoy a huge 10
gigabytes of storage for photos, files and

There used to be a simple button in the Email settings that said "Create Additional Email" or something close to that, and all you had to do was click on it and you could just create another Comcast email address. I didn't need another one at the time so I never used it. Now the link to simply create additional email addresses is gone, with no explanation why or where it went, even though the guide book says you can still create them.
I've seen many posts about this in the forum, people asking this question over and over again and the answer is always "you have to create a new user" but that isn't the answer, that's the run around.
How does creating a new user give you another email address? It also creates a tangle of nonsense when there is no additional user. The answer has to be A: You can create additional email addresses and this is how you do that.  or... B: You can no longer create additional email addresses for your self or others in your family.     It's a completely separate issue from creating or deleting "users" of the service.

So...

the answer actually seems to be that Xfinity has done away with the ability for its subscribers to simply create new email addresses, but has yet to directly say that subscribers no longer have access to such a feature. That's all I can figure. Just one more feature gone at the expense of the consumer, customers.

Sorry to disappoint. But the Guide you linked is over ten years old and badly out of date. Much has changed since then. For example, Constant Guard, Norton Security Suite, Secure Backup & Share, and a number of other features were all discontinued years ago.

Even so, if you check the "Additional Email Accounts" item on page 9, you'll note that it says:

Primary account holders can go to xfinity.com and click on My Account. Then follow the easy steps to Create a Secondary Account.

which is essentially the same procedure I outlined above, with the exception that the Manager/User/Viewer user categories didn't exist then. As best I can recall after my 17 years with them, Comcast's email addresses have always been linked to a particular UserID.

How does creating a new user give you another email address?

I should have said: the UserID you create is not just a login ID, it's also the first half of an @ Comcast.net email address. I also should have said, as the Guide states, you need to log in with the Primary UserID to create a new user & email address.

You may not like some of the changes Comcast has made over the past decade (goodness knows I don't!), but unless you know a way to make a $100 billion dollar company do your bidding or have another provider you can switch to, I'm afraid you are stuck with them.
