How to change user ID
I am trying to update my used ID since I got married, but I am not getting the option to change my xfinity username/ID. When I go into my account options the only thing under “your information” is my phone number and personal email address. I tried using the chat feature but they were unable to help me.

See if this does it for you---------------
Change User ID
Be advised though, that once the change is made, you cannot go back to the old one. You might also lose anything in the existing folders, so you should back them up using a desktop client like Outlook or Thunderbird.

For the reasons stated, consider setting up a new UserID/email address with the new name, and then advising your correspondents to use the new address. You can set up the "old" address to auto-forward to the new one until you are confident that everyone has been switched over and any emails and address book entries have been migrated.

In addition to what @BruceW and I have suggested, you have a third option in this situation:
Go ahead and create the new user ID/email. Once that is done, in the left folder pane you should see "Add mail account". Add the old account just like an external account. Once you have done that, you will have the ability to move individual emails, groups of emails, or even an entire folder from the old account to the new one if you want to. You just click on the folder, and then on the "hamburger" icon next to it to see the Move option. Its an option to consider in lieu of using a desktop client. Also there is another compelling reason to keep the old account active----------it prevents anyone else from claiming the ID later on down the line. Because if you delete it, 90 days later it becomes available for any other Comcast internet customer who wants it.

An afterthought: consider setting up your new email address with one of the email only providers, like Outlook.com or Gmail. That way if you need to change your ISP, you won't lose control of your email address.
