How to block gmail.com?

I'm getting flooded with spam from various addresses, all from gmail.com. I would like to reject all email from gmail.com, but all the mail filters I have created fail at stopping the email from there. Is there any solution that will work?

It may have a gmail.com email address you can see as the sender, but it's probably spoofed and coming from somewhere else as most spam does.  You can try to report it:

If you look at the email header in plain text, you'll see the actual IP of where it came from.  I get a lot of Enoix and Colorado Crossing spam.  Server farms with compromised virtual servers spamming 24/7.

@flatlander3 Thanks for your reply. Blocking Google's IP address finally stopped the spam. It amazes me that Google makes their email system so easy for spammers to use. I was getting about 50 spam messages a day for free gift cards and contests. Now it all has come to an end.
