- Were you able to see that reply, and if so able to access your email at either locations?

If you are a new customer you won't have an email address. Comcast stopped giving them out a year ago.
If you're not a new customer go here: https://connect.xfinity.com/appsuite
If you have transferred your email to Yahoo! Mail go here: https://mail.yahoo.com or https://login.yahoo.com and sign in with your comcast.net credentials.
