How can Xfinity's spam and phishing controls be soooo poor?

Does Xfinity not care about their own integrity?  I get so many phishing emails from people pretending to be "Xfinity"... the company's programmers cannot be that inept, can they?

Hello @user_gswc0t Unfortunately there are scam emails out there pretending to be us. There is not much that can be done to prevent them from pretending they are us. But we have a few ways to tell if it is a scam or official emails.

Emails from us will always have an official Xfinity logo next to the message in your inbox:

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/comcast-verified-email

We have started a website to better protect yourself from scams: byescammer.com

https://www.xfinity.com/hub/internet/byescammer

You can also report scam emails and spam at:

https://spa.xfinity.com/help/email-abuse?faq=spam-email

Xfinity will never proactively reach out to you requesting any personal information, with any promos or special offers, or send you links to redeem offers via email. If you are ever unsure if something you received is a scam we are always happy to check your account for any communications sent by us.

I completely disagree, in fact its a lie,  that Xfinity can not do a better job on Xfinity phishing emails.  It is not hard to read the subject line and if necessary the contents of the email and quickly determine it is phishing.  They just don't want to expend the costs with their third party contractors to catch them  They will use the excuse that they might filter legitimate but completely not true for Xfinity emails since they would be the originator.   With todays AI it is even easier.
