user_99tng3,

Thanks for trying those steps. I know how frustrating it is when everything looks correct, and it still won’t connect. Let’s take a closer look together so we can get this working for you. A few quick things to double-check on your iPhone setup that can commonly cause issues:

  • Are you using your full Xfinity email address?
  • Can you confirm you’re using your current Xfinity password (not an old one)?
  • Did you set up a third-party app password, not your regular password, when setting up on iPhone/mail apps?
  • Have ou confirmed the following Server settings?
    • Incoming (IMAP): imap.comcast.net, Port 993, SSL ON
    • Outgoing (SMTP): smtp.comcast.net, Port 587, SSL ON

If you haven’t already created a third-party email password, that’s likely the issue. You can also do that by following that link you provided. If everything above is already set correctly, I’d be happy to take a closer look with you. Feel free to send us a direct message with your first/last name and full address by clicking the "direct message" icon on the upper right page of the forum page. Once you click on that, input our shared handle "Xfinity Support" to send us a direct message.

Yes all those have been done...I constantly get a message saying my password is not correct.   I don't do anything and then get emails...then it all happens again

user_99tng3,

Thanks for confirming that you’ve already done all the right steps, and I can definitely understand how concerning that loop would be. Just to be thorough, have you also tried doing a full password reset on your Xfinity account recently? Sometimes the system can hold onto older authentication tokens, and resetting the password (then generating a new third-party app password) can clear that up. If you have tried that already and it’s still happening, let us know and we’ll dig in further with you to get to the bottom of it. 👍

user_99tng3, Thanks for confirming this information. I really appreciate you sticking with me on this. Just to help narrow things down a bit further, are you experiencing any issues when logging in directly through our webmail here? If you’re able to log in there without any problems, that will help us determine if this is specific to the iPhone mail setup or something account-related. 👍
