That means Gmail auto-bot security is on top of it.

Likely, you're connecting from a different IP address after network maintenance, and Gmail flagged it and sent you a notification.  If there is a routing or IP block change, and google's cached geo-locate database thinks you are in a different location than before based on your IP address, it may also flag that and send you a warning -- sometimes with a map even that shows where it "thinks" the request came from depending on the OS you are running.  If you are on a different block of IP addresses, this location may or may not be accurate until their geo-locate database eventually updates.

It will also do that if you clear out "cookies" in a web browser, then log into google again.  It will say a new browser connected and send you a warning.

That's a good thing.

@paulh3 Can I ask that you reach out privately, so we can cover the details of your account. You can start by clicking the chat icon located in the top right corner of your forums page when signed in. Once there, you can direct your messages to "Xfinity Support." Please add your full name and service address to help us locate your account. Let me know if you have any questions.
