Glitches with inserting hyperlinks into Xfinity Connect emails

When I insert a hyperlink into an outgoing Xfinity Connect email, two things happen:

1. Pasting the URL into the top line works fine, but the URL then also appears in the lower "text to display" line, and I have to delete it in order to type in the text I wish to display.

2. More problematically (a newer problem): the hyperlink automatically places itself at the beginning of my email rather than at the cursor.

I'd be grateful for solutions.

Type the text you wish to display first then highlight it and insert the link.

Not sure what that is about.  However, doing the above should remedy this.
