FAILURE for Outgoing email. Possibly configuration problem using Thunderbird on Windows 11 64bit PC
Trouble with SMTP. Use Thunderbird ver. 146.
Here are settings:
Server: smtp.comcast.net
Port: 465
SSL/TLS
Auth: Normal Password
my username...
WOULD APPRECIATE solution.
I've tried:
--turned off and on router, then tested "successful"
--rebooted PC
-- RESULT? Just spins onscreen... not connecting to server.
--So THEN... get this message:
Login to server smtp.comcast.net with username [username]@comcast.net failed.
RETRY ENTER NEW PASSWORD CANCEL.
I'd much appreciate next steps to try. Questions from you that I can attempt to answer.

What is the exact error message? Many people have been reporting a problem with the smtp server lately, including myself. It eventually works itself out.
