Explanation of email

I received an email today stating that my computer speed had been raised and the charge was $630.  Did this really happen or is it a scam email?

@user_vssf45 $630 is a lot as I would reach out as well if I received an email about an increase. When you log into your XFINITY App do you see any pending changes or notifications there?

Do you have a business account with us?

Have you made any recent changes to your service?

Can you open that email again and click on the from field, does the sender email address change?

No business account.  No changes to service in a couple of years.  Yes, the email address changed, which is why I think it's spam or a scam.

That does very well sound like a scam e-mail. Only time we would send you a notification on changes to your account is if you actually made a change were approval was needed. When those happen we always send you a confirmation e-mail.

So if you didn't click on anything that launched any links or anything i would imagine you're good to go and i would just delete that now
