I am logging into my faccount and getting the

following message:

error: mail server denies access

Any assistance is appreciated!

How are you accessing the email?  With only the webmail interface and a browser?  Or with a desktop client like Outlook or Thunderbird?  Something else?

I am using a web browser and also the Xfinity app when I get the error message. 

I have also tried a desktop client which I have successfully logged in but not email is showing and it says “cannot access this account”

I think it is because it is an account I do not use frequently and had not logged in in over a year.

I think it is because it is an account I do not use frequently and had not logged in in over a year. 

In that case you're going to need to call Customer Security Assurance to see if they can get that account back for you.

Thank you for your help. I contacted the CSA dept at Comcast. They said they would refresh the account and to wait two hours. I did and am still getting the same message. :(
