Emails GONE !!!!!

I have had my comcast email and been a customer for over 25+ years.  Yesterday it said my email box was full ? How I will not know as you "supposedly" don't have back up servers which is completely ridiculous.  On the phone for 4.5 HOURS !!!!!!!! in and of iteself pathetic.  Got a Tech person who "supposedly" did a recovery folder.  14K emails only came through which is only in 2020 basically.  I have lost 20+ years of pics, legal documents etc.  WITH NO ONE there who takes the time to spend with you and see what they can do.    You have had my business for ALL of these years I just expect a "little" caring and customer service.  I now will be trying to switch my email address over to a provider who will truly ASSIST when there is a problem.  I have internet, phone, cable all with comcast. and I have to say you have lost a 25+ year customer. !!!!!  I have read other peoples comments and it has been the same thing.  That is ridiculous in this day and age and technical abilities to have them disappear and not retrievalbe.  They have to go somewhere.  I did not even completely delete any of them.

I know it's infuriating when you lose that many emails along with documents and photos.  However, Comcast's email isn't a storage system, no email system is, including Gmail, outlook.com, etc.  That's what CD/DVD's, flash drives, external drives, and your computer are for; and now even cloud storage.  I know that's not something you want to hear right now but had you backed up all of those important attachments you would still have them.  I know it was probably convenient over the years, especially if you changed computers, or accessed those attachments from a different computer.

Your storage on email now is 10GB, which includes all emails, folders, attachments, etc.  You can check this by logging into your webmail and clicking on the gear icon on the right.  If your storage is nearing full, you won't be able to send or receive emails, and you may even have trouble deleting emails to free up storage.  Most email providers have a limit on the number of emails they hold; Gmail's is 15GB.

14K emails in 10 months is a lot of emails which means you're probably using residential email for business purposes.  If this is the case you might want to look into other email services that can better handle your usage.  Google Workspace might be a good alternative for you.  It will give you 30GB of cloud storage plus file sharing and video conferencing and is $6 per month per person, plus you can get a customized email address to fit your business.  You can also upgrade to unlimited storage if you need it.  It might be worth your time [and money] to investigate this as a viable alternative.
