Emails from favorites tagged as junk

I am having a problem with many of my emails landing in the junk folder or being tagged as junk. This happens with emails that are from addresses that are tagged as VIP, addresses that I have sent emails to and that are sending responses, and addresses that are in my contacts. Even once I have clicked the "not junk" button, subsequent emails still come in tagged as junk. Not only do I need to continually indicate that emails from those addresses are not junk, I also have to be vigilant to check my junk folder regularly so that I don't miss important emails. Do you have a solution for this?

You've reached the best place in virtual land for assistance. To get started, I would like to ask you some troubleshooting questions. Can you tell me if you are using a 3rd party email client or are you using the XFINITY website to recieve those emails?

Well, the issue is not resolved. I can access my email just fine from Apple Mail and online through the xfininty website, but I'm still having problems with the emails from my favorites and from addresses I have in my contacts marked as Junk. Am I to understand that it is an Apple Mail issue and not an xfinity issue?

Ah, man. You’re correct. Apple is currently experiencing errors with a lot of their services and apps. The incident is on Apple's end and not related to Comcast. The great news is many Apple services are now back online. However, in regards to the problems with the emails from your favorites and from addresses marked as junk, would you mind providing more details? One thing I found that is if certain emails are being sent to the junk folder they may just need to be added as a contact from your email by selecting 'add to contacts' while the email is open. You can also update your preferred contact method by following these steps: comca.st/2Up66wN.

I am having the exact same problem and I am using Outlook.  So it is incorrect to say it is an Apple problem.  The spam filtering is taking place at comcast.

Hi, @user_c75c8d. Are you noticing this issue only when using outlook, or are you noticing on our Xfinity connect website as well?

The best way to keep email Comcast is marking as spam out of your spam folder is by adding the sender's email address to your Xfinity Address Book. You can read more here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/protect-xfinity-address-book

Most third-party clients such as outlook have their own spam filters. If you find email is still going to your Junk/Spam folders and they are in your Comcast Address book you should check the Junk setting in your client. Outlook has a trusted or safe senders list that serves the same purpose as our address book protection but works for your local outlook filtering.
